A Gateway into Virtual Reality Maybe?
Sports Illustrated Swim Suit Edition on 3D. How many of us men out there will not try to reach into those melons while fantasizing about things. Any who, Sony has decided to sponsor a special edition of SI Swim Suit Edition for 3D devices including PS3, Sony Bravias and Blu-Ray Players that are capable of 3D.
"There's sort of a chicken-and-egg problem going on right now, where the device penetration has been fairly low, so the studios have been fairly slow to release 3D content," Michael Aragon, VP and general manager for global digital video distribution and operations at Sony Network Entertainment told Advertising Age. "Our expectation and our road map on this whole thing has been that this is going to be a little bit slower adoption than HD. While we might not be making tons of money on the 3-D content, it seeds a universe of product that we have in 3-D."
The 3D Version of the Movie will sell for $7.99 or $4.99 to rent and the so called flat version will sell for $6.99 or $3.99 to rent.
