Opinion: Ubisoft slowly droping support for Wii U

Is Ubisoft dropping support for the Wii U, Here are my thoughts on the matter.

Assassins Creed Unity is the new game from Ubisoft, which has been in development for over 3 years. It will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The previous AC Game Blackflag was released on multiple consoles including the Wii U. Ubisoft has already made the announcement for Unity and so far it looks like nothing is planed for the Wii U.

There are rumors going around of another project codename comet, but so far those rumors only support a PS3 and Xbox 360 release with another port over to the PC. but still no Wii U. Does this mean Ubisoft is slowly backing away from the Wii U? It seems that way. When a developer no longer wants to support a console they just back away slowly until they stop supporting the console completely. Ubisoft has always supported Nintendo but with one of their major titles not even announced for the Wii U it could mean trouble for Nintendo.

Not long ago WB pulled support for any DLC for Batman Arkham Origins and the newly announced Batman game won't make an appearance on the Wii U at all. With Third Party Developers dropping from developing anything on Nintendo's console, what else is there?

Things can always change however, as Ubisoft can still make an announcement at E3 to keep supporting Nintendo. However right now I can't think off the top of my head any developers and publishers still supporting the Wii U with Ubisoft recently added to the list.

It's not that the Wii U is a bad console, but there are many useless features to the console not to mention Developers have to go out of their way to try and make their code compatible with console. This means that the developers and publishers have to fork over more money to develop for the Wii U and hope that they sell enough units to make back a profit.
