Newer PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U titles are $49.99

It appears that companies are now starting to sell previous gen video games at a lower price.

A few weeks ago I released an article stating that publishers should charge less for PS3 and Xbox 360 titles are you are technically getting a game that is graphically inferior and may have less features than it's PS4, Xbox One Counterpart. I was browsing through amazon today and notice that some companies are starting to do just that.

Lego: Hobbit, The Amazing Spiderman 2, and thats all I can find without having to take time off my work to fully research and write this. But if this is a trend, we could actually start seeing companies charge less for PS3, XBox 360 and heck it even might help the Wii U a bit in sales given that the Wii U is a bit stronger than PS3 and XBox 360.

One company that should follow this through is Nintendo. They priced Wind Waker and DK Tropical Freeze at $49.99 which is a good price and those sold very well. Nintendo should price all their software at $49.99 and maybe more companies will start to follow. However Nintendo is still pricing most of their games at $59.99 with the latest being Mario Kart 8.

Of course each and every publisher is different and they are free to set their own prices on their games but as a consumer, if I see a Wii U version of the same game that's also on the PS3, I would probably go for the Wii U version.
