Wii owners aren't using Wii.

An astonishing 48% of Wii owners aren't using the Wii.

Normally surveys can be misleading but if it has any sort of purpose it's that it's numbers aren't really too far off. in a recent survey from Myvouchercodes.co.uk, it asked it's members when was the last time they had used their Wii's. 48% of them said they haven't touched the console in 6 months while 23% said they last used it 4 months ago while only 14% said they used their Wii last week.

In the same survey 33% said that the Wii was just a novelty and that novelty or fad as others may put it has worn off, specially with the release of the Kinect and PS Move. However of that said group that still played the Wii 40% said that they have used the Wii to play Wii Fit.

Mark Pearson, chairman of MyvoucherCodes.co.uk, said, "The Wii really was a novelty when it first came out, but following the release of new motion controlled gaming platforms it appears that people have lost enthusiasm for the console."

He concluded, "It's quite surprising to see that over half of people who own a Wii haven't used it in the past six months or more; but realistically, it's simply another example of the latest technology starting to become outdated."
