Supreme Court has sides for and against the video game law.

This seems like a boxing match only better. Where can I purchase tickets?

So there are a few Judges that are for and against the law that would ban the sale of Violent Video games.

"Why isn't it common sense," said Justice Stephen G. Breyer, that if the law can forbid selling pictures of a "naked woman" to a young teen, it can also forbid the sale of scenes "of gratuitous torture of children" in a video game?

Another Judge also agreed with Stephen Breyer who used Postal 2 as an example where women are beaten with a shovel and their bodies set on fire.

However may I add that the game also has a message in the beginning saying that this game is not intended for children. Not to mention the huge Rated M for Mature sticker on the box and all the warning signs within game.

However Judge Antonin Scalia argued against saying it violates the first amendment. "The same argument could have been made when movies came out" that exposing children to violence would harm them, he told a lawyer for California. 2 other Judges joined Scalia saying that no one can rid of Rap music even though they talk about killing people.

This battle could get worse and if the law passes a retail store can get charged a $1000 fine for selling to a minor, However it could be months before the final decision is given.
