Sega is working on a side story for Shenmue which is set in the same town as Shenmue. The game will be called Shenmue City and will be free to download but if you wish to purchase items then you will have to pay for them. This is similar to other games available on the iPhone and on Facebook which lets you play for free but for an in-game item or to advance the story faster than others you must purchase items which can cost from $1 to the sky is the limit.
While Shenmue 3 isn't being made the creator of Shenmue Yu Suzuki had to settle for this side story instead. Hopefully the game gathers enough interest for Sega to decide to bring Shenmue 3 to PS3 or Xbox 360
