How to Run 1080p supported games at 1080p resolution

One of the searches I've noticed on google is running NCAA 11 on 1080p Resolution. While this can be found on our review of NCAA football 11, I will take the time to explain to you how to run the game and many others at Full 1080p resolution if supported.

While not one of the popular searches out there, there are still people who don't know how to run the games resolution at 1080P if supported. If the game supports 1080P but defaults to 720P then there's only one thing you can do to change it. Go to the PS3's Display settings and change it from automatic to manual and un-check the 1080i and 720p option leaving only the 1080p option selected. Save this option and run your game. If the game supports 1080p resolution then it should run at 1080p. If not then your game will default to 480p.

This is how you run games at 1080p but remember if you have games that run only at 720p you will have to go back and forth switching the resolutions so your games could run at the resolution they run in otherwise they will run at 480p. Sometimes it's best to leave games that run by default at 720p because there really isn't much difference unless you are a photography major or something similar to that.
