While I am not in liberty to discuss anything 2K, I can discuss this due to the fact that someone already has won the price money for MLB 2K10. 2K announced a contest where if you (the consumer) pitch a perfect game you can win $1 million dollars.
Now everyone who purchased the game got a chance to enter the tournament however, one man has already won the million dollar gran price.
2K Sports, said Wade McGilberry, 24, of Semmes, Ala., won the cash prize for pitching a perfect game in an online contest carried out via Xbox 360's Xbox Live online network and the PlayStation 3's PlayStation Network.
"It was actually my wife who convinced me to go for it," said McGilberry, who pitched his perfect game on the first day of the contest, March 3. "I never thought I'd actually win a million dollars playing a video game, it's all still sinking in for me."
"This competition was an amazing ride for us," said Jason Argent, vice president of marketing for 2K Sports. "We honestly had no idea what to expect. But the incredible response from the fans and the buzz surrounding the competition was nothing that we could have ever predicted. Throwing a perfect game in Major League Baseball 2K10 is anything but easy. We congratulate Wade on his successful pursuit of perfection."
Not winning the competition must suck for those who entered the contest but for 2K didn't leave all gamers in the dust. Each copy contained a code for a free fathead jr worth $40. I'm not sure if they still have that promotion going on but for those who got it, it is definitely a nice gift from 2K
