So how many people went out and purchased the 3DS on day one or even before the price drop to $170? According to Nintendo the 3DS sold over 800,000 units during it's lifespan before the price cut. For those that paid extra Nintendo will be offering 20 Free games via the eShop for the 3DS. Today Nintendo released the first batch of free titles which include Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda. The other 10 titles will come along at the end of the year.
