Looks like 2KSports is going to have another great year on their hands.
You know the old saying. You get what you pay for and to EA that is a lesson well learned. NBA Elite which was suppose to come in October 5, 2010 but was delayed and eventually cancelled. The title was then handed over to EA Tiburon and has since been in development. A recent announcement by EA is now saying that the title will not debut until 2012 which means the next NBA game we see from EA could be NBA Elite 2013.
"We have top talent on the game, and we're giving the new development team time to deliver a superior experience," says EA Sports President Peter Moore in a statement. "We're making great strides and looking forward to launching a new game next year."
EA only gave Black Box Studios to create the game in 18 months for which the team was strapped for time. A demo was eventually shown but had so many glitches which then led to it's cancellation leaving NBA 2K11 the spot light. I know that the old saying may not apply to this but in order to cut expenses EA has moved many of their studios to different parts of the globe including their QA department which was moved to Argentina. Yea, you can figure out how that is going for them. Just look at Medal of Honor.
