Another Victory for censorship. Medal Of Honor now comes censored

The title speaks for itself.

So it seems that censorship has prevailed once again and another story is added to the companies that buckle under the pressure from groups who will never play the game or bring the company any profits but sure as hell like to bitch when it comes to something unappropriate.

Medal of Honor the upcoming War game from EA lets players assume the role of the terrorist group the Taliban has now undergone a name change. The new group name will now be called Opposing forces.

“We changed the name of the opposing team in the multiplayer mode,” said Electronic Arts publicist Amanda Taggart. “Now the opposing team is called ‘opposing forces.’”

Gamestops located inside Army bases will still not carry the game. Like stated before people who do not play therefore do not bring any profit to the company sure like to bitch but it is the players who suffer because they pour their hard earned money into purchasing said game only to have it censored.

Besides the name change nothing else is changed but it just goes to show that censorship will always prevail as long as we let it prevail.
