It appears MS new pricing plan for the Xbox Live Service is dividing a few gamers to the side for and against the new price plan.
Where do you stand in this? normally this question is asked at the end right. Well think about this question for a bit. Where do you stand? Do you agree with Microsoft raising the price of Xbox Live like this guy in this ARTICLE wrote who says he's happy with his service and will continue to pay for it. Or are you AGAINST the new price hike and will like cancel your Halo Reach pre-order.
Now $10 extra a month isn't really nothing. If you're making $10 an hour you just have to work 1 hour to get a year of Online service. But then again maybe you're missing the point onto what gamers who are against the hike. Maybe they don't want to pay extra because services like ESPN and Hulu are being added. Or maybe they believe that with this economy people shouldn't be paying more for entertainment. Or maybe the gamers who are against the price increase are missing the point for those who are for it. Maybe $10 extra a month isn't such a bad thing seeing as how the service is really great not to mention all the extras that Microsoft has added in the years.
While gamers may have reason to argue, you can bet on one thing. It doesn't matter. From a business point of view Microsoft foresaw that they will loose a few customers but will make that lost money with the customers that will stay with them. Not to mention the new customers that they will gain in the near future. Regardless of what your opinion is. Microsoft will always win. Arguing about is just doesn't make any sense cause all you're doing is stressing yourself out.
If you love the service pay for it. If you don't then don't. If you have some extra $$$$ then just buy 5 Gold membership cards or more before the price hike which some retailers offer for as low as $34.99. As for me I'll stick to my PS3 which has everything I will need.
