Verizon plans to end Unlimited Data Plans.
It has been talked about that Verizon plans to remove their unlimited Data plan from it's menu. Verzion hopes to introduce smaller data plans that of AT&T which offers 2GB of data for $25 a month.
Verizon said it won't copy what AT&T did with their data plan change for the iPhone. It is unknown when Verizon will cut the data plans but what is known is that it will be very soon.
Other companies have considered the same. Sprint is also thinking about cutting their unlimited data plans but nothing has been announced.
As for Verizon I don't think they will be cutting their unlimited Data Plans to a partial one because they never had a data plan. If you have a Smart Phone for example a Blackberry look at your plan and you will notice that it says the max data service cap is at 5GB and if you exceed that you are charged extra.
So it's not really getting rid of their unlimited data plan it's just making it smaller.
