For those that don't know what PSTV is, it's practically a PS Vita minus the screen and touchpad which allows for some PS Vita games to be played on TV.<br />
<br />
The Device currently retails for $99.99 but with this coupon you can get it for $89.99. The PSTV will release this October and is available for preorder now.<br />

<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
Zelda is one of my favorite games and normally I would buy any Zelda game where touching the screen to play the game is required. Given that, This is the first I have heard of a new Zelda title on the Wii U.<br />
<br />
Developed by Omega Force with Team Ninja (The team that brought you Metroid Other M), Is bringing Zelda: Hyrule warriors in a style similar to Dynasty Warriors. So just think Dynasty Warriors with LoZ Characters. Hyrule warriors is set to release on August 14 in Japan and so far no announcement has been made for other markets which is ridiculous seeing as how Nintendo need as many games on the Wii U as possible.<br />

<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
Nintendo has recently announced a promotion for their upcoming Mario Kart 8 title for the Wii U. The promotion in partnership with Mercedez Benz is available in Japan but a similar promotion will be announced outside of Japan.<br />
<br />
As of now the Japan only promotion will bring some Free DLC for Mario Kart 8 in the form of a kart version of the Mercedez Benz GLA. I'm neutral about the whole corporate promotions thing but if it gets players free DLC why not.<br />

<br />
No other news has been announced as to whether other cars will make the list or if this is a one shot deal.<br />
<br />
Mario Kart 8 will release on 05/30/2014.<br />

<br />
Mario Kart 8 the game that keeps on giving.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
It was already announced that Anyone who purchases and registers Mario Kart 8 before July 31, will get 1 of 4 free games (with legend of zelda being my pick of the 4). Now Best Buy will make things even sweeter with a free $10 gas card with the purchase of Mario Kart.<br />
<br />
With so much competition between retailers and online, retailers will offer some incentive to bring people in to their store. Amazon will offer an amazon gift card and retailers will offer a gift card with the purchase of a game.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/proxy/AVvXsEgmmzQTQWEL4nUIMRawEcfGPMxExdh6H11o8FYtSLU250xO49X4lN2DIDa21InktC8NhV-a97fi_Vy9MDig-CVzR4skvxx2-PrFsBy3OnxXPnpzzIwsUmWjfbNdadR35DMi6CzeNX5GjzwMlhfQlRupYvMLMW5qRuO2kh3bnU-8op8cT92KUNDkivhNEFyTU3wqv0TaHyY-cqYY=" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="MARIO KART 8" border="0" src="http://images.bestbuy.com/BestBuy_US/en_US/images/abn/2014/vg/co/sepm_mariocartgascash.jpg" height="293" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Mario hasn't been the same since he saw the Peach/Bowser sex video.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
So far I have not seen any other incentives from other retailers or even amazon but if this is the only place where you get something why not get the game from best buy. After all how much can $10 buy you of gas.<br />
<br />

Anyone who owns a Wii U will most likely pick up Mario Kart 8. You will get 1 free download from: New Super Mario Bros, Pikmin 3, Zelda: Wind Waker and Wii Party U with Wii Party U probably being the most unpopular one.<br />

Strike Suite Zero is a 3D space shooter for the PC, PS4 and
XBOX One. I love space shooters and my favorite of all time are StarFox 64 and
the Rogue Squadron Series on the 64 and Gamecube. I’ve been waiting for a
similar game to those for a while but so far I haven’t found anything. Not even
the Ace Combat series has been able to fulfill my need for a good fast pace
aero shooting game. Strike Suit Zero comes close but it just doesn’t get there.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<img height="360" src="http://d1vr6n66ssr06c.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/strike_suit_zero_header.jpg" width="640" /> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Design</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The Design for Strike Suit Zero is fairly simple. Shoot at
your target and not get killed or get your friendly naval ships destroyed.
That’s pretty much it.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>You get to play
in 13 different levels with several missions which involve protecting some
stranded naval ship or destroying enemy ships. At the end of the level you earn
medals which unlock better weapons for the ship that you are flying. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The Menu can be a bit confusing at times specially for first
timers who just want to get in the game. In the beginning you are briefed on a
mission and told what you should do. The next screen tells you the weapons you
can use and have unlocked but you cannot select it. At the end you get to
select a ship and change weapons. This is done all via text so you must
remember which weapon does what since no sample is given as to what a weapon is
supposed to do. Your ship also allows a certain amount of weapons and not all
ships are the same with some of them only allowing 2 at a time.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Controlling the ship takes a bit of getting used to as well.
You can use both joysticks to move the ship up and down with the R Stick to
move the ship left and right. This felt a bit backwards for me so I changed the
control settings to allow the ship to be maneuvered with the L stick and flip
the ship with the R stick. The L2 and L1 triggers are used to fire your weapons
with the D-Pad used to switch weapons. This wasn’t a huge issue for me as you
can easily change the controllers to your liking. It’s not the best option but
it’s not the worst either. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<img height="360" src="http://static.sportskeeda.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/screen_4_l-2132603.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">GamePlay</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Fighting against other ships is fast paced but at times it
can feel slow. You have all this open space to travel in but most fighters stay
in one part of the map making the rest of the map worthless unless you are
trying to get away from an enemy. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
In order to use most weapons, you need to be within range in
order for you to do any damage to the ships. Otherwise unless your HUD locks
on, you’re just wasting ammo. You have unlimited ammo for just one weapon type
but like most games today, if you use it too much it will overheat and you will
have to wait for it to recharge. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The Gameplay though is very simple and shouldn’t take long
for any player to pick up and play. Most of the time your targets are chosen
for you but you can easily swap targets to a closer one if you want. The main
goals for most levels are to defeat all enemy targets. At the end your score is
tallied and you will earn medals. </div>

<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">SoundTrack</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The voice over acting could be better in the game. There are
many instances of emergency where a ship is getting attacked and yet the
captain of said ship is acting calm during the attack. This sort of takes away
from any need of urgency the game may have had especially when you are about to
go into action.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The soundtrack is also limited to several soundtracks that
do not at all match the action. You would think that the background music would
be something epic or at least gets you pumped to go into action. But no, that
is not the case here. I’m not saying the soundtrack is bad, but it’s repetitive
and boring. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Luckily the sound effects are great though. This pretty much
drowns out any bad music or voice over that is playing. </div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Graphics:</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Graphically the game won’t break any new grounds. The
effects are nicely done and the backgrounds are rendered nicely. But because
this is mainly a space shooter and mainly everything is space is almost dark,
you can’t really see the detail. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The game does provide smooth gameplay, even with hundreds of
enemies on the screen as well as your own allies, there is no lag or frame rate
drops at all.</div>

Strike Suit Zero is a space shooter that should satisfy some

been waiting 11 years). It may not be the longest game with 13 levels at 20
minutes each but it certainly fills the void. As for replay value, there is
really not much going on. Beat the level and play again to try to beat your own
score or earn medals. It’s a great arcade game and for $19.99 I think it’s at
the right price to check it out. </div>

"Josh has really created an amazing aesthetic that makes playing <em>MechRunner </em>a
truly unique visual experience." says Ben Lichius, VP and Art Director
at Spark Plug. “I think we have some of the most detailed, amazing
looking mechs to ever appear in a video game.”<br />
<br />
Spark Plug is also announcing the launch of a Kickstarter campaign to
help the studio add some final polish items in anticipation of the
Summer launch. “<em>MechRunner</em> is feature complete.” said Spark
Plug President John O’Neill. “But we realized that, with a little extra
push here at the end, there’s a lot we could do to make playing <em>MechRunner</em>
even more memorable for gamers and mech fans alike. We’re excited to
engage with fans, get their feedback, and partner with them while we
wrap things up. We’ve also got some fantastic backer rewards!”<br />
<br />
Among the rewards offered by the team, backers will have an opportunity
to play the game early, receive exclusive in-game content, the game’s
soundtrack, t-shirts, and more, as well as limited edition collectable
statues and even a chance to collaborate with the team to create new
game content. The Kickstarter campaign is live and will run through <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_719546179" tabindex="0"><span class="aQJ">May 16th, 2014</span></span>.<br />

This mini review is to talk about NBA 2K14. I call it mini
because I will not touch base on all the features and details on the game. I am
talking about it from an average player’s point of view. This is the player who
buys NBA 2K9 when 2K20 has just been released. There are many out there and if
you are a hardcore fan please look somewhere else for a deep covered Look at
LeBrons wrinkles review.</div>

Basketball is one of the major sports I like to keep up
with. I catch a game almost when I have time and root for my favorite team. I
have played several NBA 2K sports titles with the latest being 2K11. That game
was awesome and I enjoyed it every time I played it, Specially the My Player
feature. I purchased a used PS4 and it came with NBA 2K14. I liked 2K11 so I decided
to play it and since that a lot has changed and as an average sports gamer, I
would say it changed for the worst.</div>

Design:</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The first think you notice when first playing NBA 2K14 is
the GUI. They changed it from all those menus back in the day to just a few
simple ones. There’s NBA Today which gives you all the stats of the NBA and a
small preview window of the plays from the day before hosted by ESPN. In here
you can keep up with stats and up to date news on anything NBA. Here is also
where you can have a quick match between 2 teams or have an online match
against someone else. My Career is where you create a player and go through the
life of an NBA Player. My GM is where you step into the shoes of a General
Manager and lead your team to victory.</div>

<div class="MsoNormal">

<div class="MsoNormal">
I spent most of my time in My Career(My Player) where I
built my player and played for an NBA team. This mode is feels complete because
you get to interact with several players from the NBA voiced by the players
themselves. But while you’re playing it does feel scripted. You go through your
career facing a rival as well as dealing with teammates who look at your player
as a rookie and will even give you ridiculous tasks for your player to do. It’s
all just to add a little bit of Drama. You do get a choice however in how your
player responds to most things such as arguing with a ref when a bad call is
called or when talking to the GM. A lot of the responses are narrowed down to
being a nice guy or a complete jerk that is too full of himself, Because that’s
all basketball players right? There is almost no middle ground.</div>

One feature that killed it for me is Micro Transactions in
My Player. Throughout your players career you earn points that can be used to
purchase skill points. If you run out you will have to win games and meet the
goals that are given to you by your coach. Since your player is starting out,
that’s not really a whole lot. To speed things up you can buy these points at
the 2K store. I thought this feature was total Bull S*** since previous titles
allowed you to practice and earn these points for free. </div>

Graphics:</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Is NBA 2K14 graphically impressive? No. Are the graphics
better than the PS3? Yes. I was not at all impressed with 2K14 graphically.
Animation was smoother compared to previous entries and players were a bit more
detailed also but all in all, I was disappointed in this offering.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">

<div class="MsoNormal">
GamePlay</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Gameplay is the same as previous entries. You have to time
your shots in order to make them. Let go too soon or too late and you’re bound
to miss them. This time around though your shots are graded and you will earn
points based on how difficult or how well the shot was made. The ability to do
anything really all lies on the player you are using and how they stack up
compared to others. I’ve never been a fan of the 2K AI. They are dumber than a
can of beans or a Star Fish in some popular children show about a sponge under
water. During gameplay for My Player, your team mates will more likely than not
give up so many shots you might as well not even try. There have been many
instances where 5 seconds are left on the clock and whoever is ball handler
will just throw the ball from across the court instead of getting closer to it.
If the other team passes the ball and one of your team members is right beside
them, they will not chase the ball and instead let the other team score.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The game is also surprisingly buggy for this release. They
aren’t major bugs but you would think after being on the market for several
months now, 2K would release a patch or something but no. You just pop the game
in and on you go. Games with a lower budget and lower sales will release a
patch if it needs it but not 2K.</div>

Replay:</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
One thing about Sports games is that they have so much
replay value. True the rosters aren’t up to date and depending on the release
the animation may not be up to par but you can always play it no matter what.
NBA 2K14 does offer some good replay value. You can still play single player
with single games and the story in My Player may be scripted but you can
continue playing for a long time before it’s time to retire your player.
Whether you enjoy playing those game modes or not is really a person to person
scenario.</div>

Conclusion:</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
With the NBA season coming to a close and NBA 2K14 soon to
be a bargain bin game, This entry was not worth to pick up. It will be a year
or 2 before 2K gets it right for the PS4 and Xbox One editions of the 2K
franchise. But until then, unless this game is $1 I wouldn’t bother picking it
up. I would save my money and buy something else.</div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
I was standing in line in 2006 at 7am outside of one of my
friends’ gamestop because I had preordered the Wii. I was excited and couldn’t
wait to get home to set up my new consoles. When I got the Wii I played it for
about several months before completely forgetting about it. Every now and again
I would get a game for it and play it again but that didn’t last very long and
no more than a few days. It was a fun consoles but it just wasn’t for me. What
with all the family friendly games and low quality ports and last gen graphics
that disappointed me once I got myself an HDTV in 2007. This was pretty much
the story of a lot of people who quickly forgot about the Wii as soon as they
purchased a PS3 or an Xbox 360. In 2012 Nintendo released their successor, the
Wii U. It was pretty much a Wii with HD capabilities. However people who bought
the Wii didn’t transition into the Wii U right away if at all. But that’s not
to say that the Wii U isn’t a great console because it is and this is my review
of it.</div>

<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Price:</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Before I get started let me tell you that I got the Wii U
for $180 with a Wii + remote and everything else pre-owned. Nintendo first
release the Wii U in 2 models which are the Basic ($299.99) with 8GB of Flash
Memory and no pad stand. And the Premium ($349.99) with 32GB of Flash Memory
and Wii U Sports Resort bundled in. Even after discontinuing the 8GB model and
a price drop of the 32GB model, I still think the Wii U is overpriced,
especially when you can get yourself a PS3 for $200 brand new or a bundle with
a 320GB Hard Drive and a game for $250 to $300. For $300 you get the 32GB Wii U
and 2 games which are practically the same game. Nintendo of America President
even came out with an advertisement of the Wii U being a better value at $300
and let me say that he is an idiot who has his head so far up his rectum that
he cannot see daylight and the reality of how things are. The Wii U should be
somewhere in between $200 or $250 and they should just get rid of the tablet
control which is an option in most games but we’ll get to that.</div>

<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Design/Hardware: </b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The Wii U is a very small machine that doesn’t take up much
space. It’s practically a round Wii only a bit bigger to accommodate everything
inside and to have better airflow. It has a small exhaust fan on the side that
is not loud at all which is very convenient compared to that consoles of 2006
and is pretty much a requirement for any console now a days. Specially with the
technological advancements that we’ve had in a short 6 years when the Wii U
came out and now 8 years as of today. </div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
The inside of the Wii U is powered by a 3 core Power PC
processor running at 1.24ghz. The power PC processor is the same or almost
identical to the Power PC processor found on G4 Macs from Apple. Which to my
calculation, the last time I saw a G4 was somewhere in 2003. It also has 2GB of
GDDR3 Ram running at 1600mhz. The graphics driving the Wii U is based on the
Radeon HD 5000/6000 series codenamed Latte which was developed specifically for
the Wii U clocked at 550mhz.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
One of the Wii U’s biggest changes though is the fusion of a
tablet and game controller. The Wii U gamepad is used as a second screen to
games that holds information or to view inventory. Depending on the game it
could also be used to play mini games while your character on the main screen
gets his ass kicked. Yes I am not a huge fan of the game pad. In fact I think
it takes away from the fun of games by trying to make games more realistic than
they need to be. The only useful feature of the gamepad is the ability to use
it as its own screen and play games while someone else watches TV. Heck you don’t
even need a TV if you want to use the gamepad as a portable device around your
house and by around your house I mean in the same room. But despite its short
range it’s still a very useful feature.</div>

The Wii U OS is similar to the Wii which uses channels or
squares to display a game or an app. You get the basic apps as every other
device out there which is a browser, an app store, messages, calendar, friends,
and messages. You also get some Wii U apps such as vWii which is a Virtual Wii
where you can play all your old Wii games which is a plus and the TVii app
which is just a guide for your TV and nothing else. Some of the apps require
the use of the Gamepad which is annoying as hell and one of these being the Wii
U App store which will render your TV useless until you are finished browsing
the Wii U store.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></div>

launch day. The Wii U came out sometime in November 2012 and it’s already been
1 year a 4 months and there aren’t that many games available as there should
be. And the situation has gotten worse with Developers and Publishers leaving
the console. On the plus side there are some good games on the system at very
reasonable prices if you would get one today, especially in the Pre-Owned market.
For new games you can pick up AC III and Black Flag for under $50. Both are
great games on their own. You also have Black Ops II with all the DLC and
Ghosts as well. Both are great multiplayer online games and have a decent story
line to it. You also have some great Exclusive titles such as Sonic, Lego City

the Wii may have sucked, it did have some pretty kick ass games in its library.
The Resident Evil Archive games, Metroid Prime Triology, Super Smash Bros
Brawl, Mario Kart, Super Mario Galaxy, Legend of Zelda and the list goes on,
were all great games for the Wii. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
And if you like old school games the Wii U has a lot of
great titles available for download on the Virtual Library, although a quick
google search should bring you a list of emulators and roms that you can
download if you already own the physical copy of the game.</div>

<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Storage:</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Nintendo must have not thought things through when they
decided to give the Wii U only 32GB of Flash Memory. In a world where people
download apps, indie games and full games not to mention Nintendo has an
extensive library of Virtual Console games, 32GB is just not enough. You can
purchase and use a USB Hard Drive or a flash Drive to extend the memory. The
Wii U will automatically use up the external memory first before filling in the
internal memory. The problem though is that not a lot of parents who buy the
console for their kids will know that. Once the limit is reached you will have
to start deleting saved data and games. At the time the Xbox 360 released it
only had a 20Gb hard drive but there also wasn’t as many DLC games or content
and apps readily available. </div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
The Wii U is compatible with all sorts of controllers from
past to present. The Wii U is compatible with the Wii Remote, Classic
Controller, Pro Controller as well as the gamepad itself. This is where
Nintendo fails to properly promote its product. If I would have not purchased a
Pro Controller<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>and a Wii U, I wouldn’t
have known that most games offer the option of just using the pro controller a
la PS4 and Xbox One. You really don’t need the game pad. Games like Ninja
Gaiden 3, CoD Ghosts and Black Ops II, AC III, Mass Effect 3 and a few others
all allow you to play using the pro controller alone. The only problem though
is that the official Pro Controller will set you back $45 - $50 for the
Official Nintendo Version. I was lucky and purchased the Pro Commander for $13
on sale. It’s not as smooth as the official Nintendo Version (review coming
soon) but it gets the job done. I am happy just playing games without the use
of the gamepad which gives me a headache every time I have to use it.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<a href="http://www.extremetech.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/wii-u-gamepad-back.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://www.extremetech.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/wii-u-gamepad-back.jpg" height="173" width="320" /></a> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Also another feature not really advertised and taken to its
full potential is the use of online multiplayer for 2 players. I found this out
when my brother handed me the gamepad and he used the classic controller to
play Ghosts. He had the TV screen all to himself and I had the gamepad screen
all to myself while playing. This is way better than playing split screen
online. It functioned properly and there was hardly any lag. The screen could
have been a bit brighter but overall it was a great feature. I was not
distracted by his game and vice versa. Besides CoD, I don’t know what other
games use this feature. I haven’t played them all but if you love online
multiplayer and want to play with 2 players, this is an easy solution. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I mentioned this before but this is one of the greatest
features of the Wii U Gamepad; The use of it as a second screen. Yes the range
is limited to something within 30 feet but the quality is just superb no matter
how far away you are as long as you’re within range. You won’t get any lag at
all during gameplay. Once you get disconnected though the game pauses and just
asks to move in a bit closer. No gameplay is lost. But you may lose a life or
get killed depending on the type of game you’re playing. I was able to take the
Wii U gamepad to my room with the Wii U in the living room and was able to play
comfortably while I lay in bed. Not all games support this feature though so make
sure you check the back of the game package to make sure it does. The PS3/PS4
also has a similar feature (Remote Play) But the games are limited and the
screen is a bit smaller than that of the Wii U’s.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<a href="http://m5.paperblog.com/i/39/390464/ss-thoughts-on-wii-u-console-L-zvIP0J.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://m5.paperblog.com/i/39/390464/ss-thoughts-on-wii-u-console-L-zvIP0J.jpeg" height="179" width="320" /></a>Now let’s get to the negative about the gamepad. Zombi U, I
think it’s a good game. You are a survivor in a post-apocalyptic world and you
must survive. Die and you lose all your stuff until you are re-spawned as
another character and find all your stuff that you lost as the previous character
who is now a zombie. How I wish I could have played this game using the Pro
Controller but sadly you can’t. Why does using the gamepad suck for these kinds
of games? Because you constantly had to keep looking down into the gamepad
screen when you are searching for inventory, or if you are using a machine gun
or unlocking doors as well as solving puzzles. All while getting your ass
handed to you by zombies. You are constantly switching views from TV to gamepad
which has caused me to have headaches and hurt my neck while in the process. This
game also requires the use of both gamepad and TV so you can’t play it on just
one screen. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The other con about the gamepad is its crappy battery life.
At most you can get 3.5 hours out of use out of the thing. Sure you can always
charge once you are finished but chuck that into a list of ways to kill your
battery faster.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The gamepad is also huge
and the buttons I think are awkwardly placed. The R and L buttons are very hard
to use as the ZL and ZR buttons curved in the back.</div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
Reggie Fils Aime is full of shit when he says that the Wii U
is a better value. What an A$$hole he is. Anyway, The Wii U is not a better
value than say PS4 but it does get you started with 2 games included. It’s a
great machine but just like the Wii before it, it’s only good as a Previous
Generation Console. The Wii U can compete with the PS3 and Xbox 360 but at a
certain point people will move on and the PS3/Xbox 360 will be retired and then
it’s up to the developers to decide if they still want to keep supporting it. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The right direction for the Wii U would be for Nintendo to
charge $49.99 for their games as well as Third Party games. Dropping full
support for the gamepad and only using it as an add-on would also be great or
at least bundle a pro controller with the Wii U. Don’t force me to use it to
change my settings or use it in the store unless I command it to do that. Also
when I use the Pro Controller don’t turn the gamepad on. It’s annoying enough
that I have to take 1 minute to bring up the menu and turn it off manually.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Other than those shortcomings the Wii U is a great machine
with lots of potential and Nintendo should support every developer and
publisher so they can continue to keep bringing out games for their console. Games
run smoother than their PS3/Xbox 360 counterparts and the GUI is very easy to
use. The backwards compatibility is also a great feature that the PS4 and Xbox
One got rid of so you can put away that Wii that is probably housing thousands
of spiders from years of no use.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Keep this in mind though. Nintendo may have the cheapest
console available but the PS4 and Xbox One have longevity on their side.<br />
<br />
<b>Design</b>: Very Small and quiet but packs quite a punch 10/10<br />
<b>Controls</b>: Compatible with Wii as well as Third Party controllers, you have lots to choose from but the gamepad is very uncomfortable to hold at times and some games require it. 8/10<br />
<b>Games:</b> It's been 2 years and there hasn't been a must own game that you have to buy the system for. Support is dropping but hopefully Nintendo can turn things around. 3/10<br />
<b>OS</b>: Very easy to navigate compared to other consoles, there's a bit of lag from time to time even though it has 1GB of Ram dedicated to the OS alone. 8/10<br />
<b>Hardware</b>: Tripple Core processor with 2GB of Ram, Wifi and expansion ports for other media storage. Cannot keep up with PS4/Xbox One but can easily beat PS3/Xbox 360. 7/10<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><b>Total Score: 72/100</b></span></div>

<b>WASHINGTON, D.C. and SAN FRANCISCO (<span class="aBn" data-term="goog_1062137985" tabindex="0"><span class="aQJ">April 2, 2014</span></span>) –</b> Military-focused video game charity <b>Operation Supply Drop</b> today announced that it is partnering with <b>Twitch</b>,
the world’s leading video platform and community for gamers, to raise
funds for the third-annual “8-Bit Salute,” a 24-hour gaming marathon to

packages, offering much needed diversion and stress-relief to
combat-zone deployed troops and those recovering in military hospitals.<br />
<br />
“Operation Supply Drop is providing an incredible service to our
country’s armed forces with a thoughtful and unique approach,” said Ben
Goldhaber, Director of Content Marketing, Twitch. “Twitch and our
community are big supporters of philanthropic endeavors, so we applaud

event as well as encouraging their top broadcasters to participate in
the event. Already, top ten Twitch broadcaster “Trick2g” – whose gaming
streams have been watched by over 40 million viewers – has pledged his
support of the “8-Bit Salute.” Other key partners include
developer Naughty Dog (2013 Developer of the Year, <i>The Last of Us)</i> and
gaming-headset powerhouse ASTRO Gaming. They have pledged significant
donations and will assemble fundraising teams via the Operation Supply
Drop website at <u><a href="http://www.operationsupplydrop.org/" target="_blank">www.<wbr></wbr>operationsupplydrop.org</a></u>. There, fans will have a chance to win a variety of great prizes while raising awareness and funds for our troops.<br />

<b>Opinion </b><br />
Just a quick thought, Politics is something that we will all have disagreements on whether you're Republican, Democrat or Third Party. But the men and women serving in the armed forces is something all civilians should support. I for one am Thankful to those who serve and would like to extend my gratitude to them who are out there everyday sacrificing their lives for us.<br />

<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
A few weeks ago I released an article stating that publishers should charge less for PS3 and Xbox 360 titles are you are technically getting a game that is graphically inferior and may have less features than it's PS4, Xbox One Counterpart. I was browsing through amazon today and notice that some companies are starting to do just that.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://www.blogger.com/%3Ca%20href=%22http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GY4OAM0/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00GY4OAM0&linkCode=as2&tag=indegameblog-20%22%3ELEGO%20The%20Hobbit%20-%20Wii%20U%3C/a%3E%3Cimg%20src=%22http://ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=indegameblog-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B00GY4OAM0%22%20width=%221%22%20height=%221%22%20border=%220%22%20alt=%22%22%20style=%22border:none%20!important;%20margin:0px%20!important;%22%20/%3E">Lego: Hobbit</a>, <a href="https://www.blogger.com/%3Ca%20href=%22http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FRESQKU/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00FRESQKU&linkCode=as2&tag=indegameblog-20%22%3EThe%20Amazing%20Spider-Man%202%20-%20Wii%20U%3C/a%3E%3Cimg%20src=%22http://ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=indegameblog-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B00FRESQKU%22%20width=%221%22%20height=%221%22%20border=%220%22%20alt=%22%22%20style=%22border:none%20!important;%20margin:0px%20!important;%22%20/%3E">The Amazing Spiderman 2</a>, and thats all I can find without having to take time off my work to fully research and write this. But if this is a trend, we could actually start seeing companies charge less for PS3, XBox 360 and heck it even might help the Wii U a bit in sales given that the Wii U is a bit stronger than PS3 and XBox 360.<br />
<br />
One company that should follow this through is Nintendo. They priced Wind Waker and DK Tropical Freeze at $49.99 which is a good price and those sold very well. Nintendo should price all their software at $49.99 and maybe more companies will start to follow. However Nintendo is still pricing most of their games at $59.99 with the latest being Mario Kart 8.<br />
<br />
Of course each and every publisher is different and they are free to set their own prices on their games but as a consumer, if I see a Wii U version of the same game that's also on the PS3, I would probably go for the Wii U version. <br />

Is Ubisoft dropping support for the Wii U, Here are my thoughts on the matter.<br />

Assassins Creed Unity is the new game from Ubisoft, which has been in development for over 3 years. It will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The previous AC Game Blackflag was released on multiple consoles including the Wii U. Ubisoft has already made the announcement for Unity and so far it looks like nothing is planed for the Wii U.<br />
<br />
There are rumors going around of another project codename comet, but so far those rumors only support a PS3 and Xbox 360 release with another port over to the PC. but still no Wii U. Does this mean Ubisoft is slowly backing away from the Wii U? It seems that way. When a developer no longer wants to support a console they just back away slowly until they stop supporting the console completely. Ubisoft has always supported Nintendo but with one of their major titles not even announced for the Wii U it could mean trouble for Nintendo.<br />
<br />
Not long ago WB pulled support for any DLC for Batman Arkham Origins and the newly announced Batman game won't make an appearance on the Wii U at all. With Third Party Developers dropping from developing anything on Nintendo's console, what else is there?<br />
<br />
Things can always change however, as Ubisoft can still make an announcement at E3 to keep supporting Nintendo. However right now I can't think off the top of my head any developers and publishers still supporting the Wii U with Ubisoft recently added to the list.<br />
<br />
It's not that the Wii U is a bad console, but there are many useless features to the console not to mention Developers have to go out of their way to try and make their code compatible with console. This means that the developers and publishers have to fork over more money to develop for the Wii U and hope that they sell enough units to make back a profit. <br />

<br />
Nintendo is in a bit of a slump, everyone who follows gaming news knows that.Developers aren't abandoning the system but they won't release any games until hardware sales pick up. In February, Nintendo sold 25% more consoles than it did last year at the same time. This bump in hardware could be because of Donkey Kong Tropical freeze released last month and so far has accumulated 120k copies sold.<br />
<br />
Hardware sales could also pick up once Mario Kart 8 is released this may, which Nintendo will also be releasing a limited edition with a blue shell statue which I am monitoring every day on amazon in the hopes that it appears soon so I can reserve my copy. But so far no luck.<br />

Toradora is a great anime. It's filled with likeable characters and a boat load of comedy at every corner as. There's no reason not to like this anime. However with the English subs for non Japanese speaking people, it was kind of hard to keep up with what was going on in the screen while trying to read what was really going on. Well finally you'll be able to do both because Toradora is coming (once again) to the US with Full English Dubs.<br />

The PS Store never ceases to amaze me with the type of content they provide for gamers. If you have $10 to spare or $5 if you are a PS Plus member (PS+ FTW) you can grab a copy of need for speed most wanted for either the PS3 or PS Vita.<br />
<br />
There are also other NFS Titles available such as: The Run, Hot Purtsuit and Carbon: Own the city for the PSP/Vita. <br />
<br />
On top of that if you are a PS Plus member (No reason why you shouldn't be one) you also get Tomb Raider for Free as the top game of the month.<br />
<br />
I will be grabbing both versions of Most Wanted for the PS3 and PS Vita because heck why not. I have been looking to get a racing game on the Vita for a while now. <br />
<br />
But if you're stuck between one or the other hopefully the video comparison below will help you in your decision. (For some reason the Embed link to you tube is broken(typical google) so just follow the link below)<br />
